Hello.

I'm Liberty. I'm an animation graduate from Loyola Marymount University and a marketing and communications major and international business minor graduate from Temple University Japan Campus.

I grew up in Los Angeles, California as half-Japanese, half-Mexican American kid with a love for digital media, the internet, gaming, and pop culture, things my parents nurtured in me always. After graduating from LMU I felt a bit of a disconnect with myself, with the entertainment industry and in general felt I lacked passion for creative endeavors, set on by a burnout doing traditional social media in the beauty and fashion scene. I decided to “light the fire under my own ass” and further my education by pursuing marketing and communications, with an emphasis on business acumen, to put the hard skills of making media to proper use. I moved to Tokyo, Japan at age 22 to start over again and in struggling alone in a new country I found my heart and a drive to make creative things again.

In the years since that move I’ve been lucky enough to make online video my career, which, has been all I’ve ever wanted for as long as I can remember. I’ve worked alongside some of the biggest brands including Netflix, and alongside some of the biggest YouTube creators including on channels like Trash Taste, Safety Third, and more. I am also currently the Senior Manager of video production at Skybound Entertainment.

At this stage in my career, I have such insights and such deep knowledge about the internet and media space I’m looking to level up myself and bring more strategy to new roles; I have long been an executor of meme and video production, now I hope I can help drive trends and growth too. I’ve also now moved back to Los Angeles to be closer to family as my parents age and I missed being at home; frankly, Japan does not have good Mexican food.

If you’re reading this because you’re considering hiring me for a role, thank you so much, it means the world to me you’ve made it this far. I am so deeply passionate about my job and about this space, I have a lot more to offer if you click over to the ‘Digital’ tab and I hope you see for yourself.
